PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
We minimise carbon emissions throughout our supply chain. We support reforesting initiatives that more than offset any remaining balance.
The average cost of a 1-carat diamond ring in Europe falls anywhere between £2000 – £4000. The price seemed fair until we stumbled upon the hidden cost of diamonds, which the humans, animals and our environment, unfortunately, end up paying.
The assurance of 100% conflict-free diamonds with KPCS (Kimberley Process Certification Scheme) was more of a hope than a reality. The narrow definition of conflict made the diamonds conflict-free on paper but not in spirit.
We wanted to deliver luxurious jewellery, butwithout impacting the planet, humans or animals.
“There must be an alternative,” thought Sahaj Kothari – founder of Dove Diamond and a vegan himself – who firmly believes that a world-class product need not involve harming anyone, be it animals, humans or the environment.
The thought turned into a desire, which transformed into passion, that ultimately took the form of a vision that marked the birth of DOVE DIAMOND – Europe’s Most Ethical Diamond Jewellery.
How on earth could a diamond responsible for exploiting human lives, impacting the environment and destroying animal habitats be a symbol of love? How could one express their love by gifting those diamonds when one cannot be sure if the diamonds are ethically sourced or not?
Dove Diamond addresses the issues associated with the diamond mining and jewellery industry and from its in-house manufacturing and design team, produces diamond jewellery that has a cleaner origin with a premium look and feel. In other words, the jewellery that is good, inside out.
Dove Diamond offers the most ethical diamond jewellery, made of eco-friendly and vegan diamonds, premium recycled metals, produced by greener manufacturing methods, meaning you get diamond jewellery that is Karma stain free.
With no mining involved, no human rights abuses and no animals harmed during the sourcing and manufacturing process, Dove Diamond allows you to satisfy your love for diamonds without compromising on the values you believe in.
Replace - When it comes to sourcing, we only source eco-friendly lab grown diamonds, which product far less carbon emission compared to mined diamonds, that too, without destroying the soil.
In addition to it, we only use premium quality recycled metal, whjcih further makes us 100% mining free. Being mining free ensures that no human being suffers or animal habitats destroyed as a result of it.
As for packaging material, the plastic content is just 20%, which we are planning to reduce it to zero. Refine - We have been able to bring down the carbon emissions significantly by refining the manufacturing processes.
The increasing use of Green Energy and other less resource intensive manufacturing, along with associating only with green shipping partners ensure that our we do not cause unnecessary harm to the environment.
Replenish - The third R - replenish - is more about GIVING BACK.
We GO BEYONG and follow our 360° approach to make this world a better place.

We minimise carbon emissions throughout our supply chain. We support reforesting initiatives that more than offset any remaining balance.
Working with organisations on the ground who help those affected by the diamond industry. Initiatives include supported farming which means individuals can generate a sustainable income.
Our next initiative is to support the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife that has been impacted and displaced because of the destructive mining practices and human activity.
We support the planting of mangrove trees at the coast of Madagascar and Nigeria. Mangrove trees are one of the most effective plants when it comes to carbon absorption.
Growing both on land and in water, mangroves support marine ecosystems and biodiversity, and help to minimise the impact of severe weather condtions on the shoreline.
For every jewellery piece sold we plant up to 100 mangrove trees, so your purchase will have a lasting positive effect on our environment.
We’re working alongside initiatives that deliver practical support to those affected by the diamond mining industry.
We support the Forest Garden Program, which is a simple, replicable and scalable approach with proven success.
By planting specific types of fast-growing trees, fruit trees, hardwoods and food crops in a systematic manner over a four year period, families positively change their lives forever. Forest Gardens consist of thousands of trees that provide families with sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, fuel wood and a 400% increase in their annual income in four years.
Diamond mining practices disturbs and reduces animal habitats, resulting in declining populations and potentially pushing some species towards extinction.
For example, the Western Chimpanzee population has reduced by a staggering 80% over the last 25 years as a result, in part, of this activity.
We are passionate about offsetting the effect of diamond mining on wildlife and are very close to finalising our support plan – watch this space for more details.
