Western Chimpanzees that have lived in the villages of Guinea for long are on the verge of extinction. Their population has reduced by a massive 80% in a span of just 25 years.

How Did It Happen?

Well, our indiscriminate love for glitter is responsible for this. In most of the areas inhabited by Western Chimpanzees, gold mines exist. The indiscriminate mining leads to the destruction of animal habitat and their population continues to shrink.

The wanton destruction begs us a question and it really does not matter whether we are vegan or not. And the question is, ARE WE OK TO LET CHIMPANZEES AND OTHER ANIMALS PAY THE PRICE FOR OUR GLITTER?
